Hello!

7p² - 5 - ( 3p² )

⇒ 7p² - 5 - 3p²

⇒ 7p² - 3p² - 5

Solution :

Given two expressions are ,

first expression = 3p² ,

second expression = 7p² - 5

i ) Subtracting second expression

from first , we get

3p² - ( 7p² - 5 )

= 3p² - 7p² + 5

= ( 3 - 7 )p² + 5

= -4p² + 5

ii ) Subtracting first expression from

second , we get

7p² - 5 - 3p²

= 7p² - 3p² - 5

= ( 7 - 3 )p² - 5

= 4p² - 5
