3x-1/3=2(x-1/2)+5

3x-1/3=x-1+5
9x/3-1/3=x+4
9x-1=3x+12
9x-3x=12+1
x=13/6
x=2.17

Given Equation is 3x - 1/3 = 2(x - 1/2) + 5

                              3x - 1/3 = 2x - 2(1/2) + 5

                              3x - 1/3 = 2x - 1 + 5

                              3x - 1/3 = 2x + 4

                              3x = 2x + 4 + 1/3

                              3x = 2x + 13/3

                             3x - 2x = 13/3

                                 x = 13/3.

Hope this helps!
