3x -  \frac{1}{3}  = 2(x -  \frac{1}{2} ) + 5

 \frac{9x - 1}{3}  = 2( \frac{2x - 1}{2} ) + 5

 \frac{9x + 1}{3}  = (2x - 1) + 5

9x + 1 = 3(2x  + 4)

9x + 1 = 6x + 12

9x - 6x = 12  - 1

3x = 11

x =  \frac{11}{3}
