(3x^2-10x-8)

3x^2 -6x -4x-8
3x (x -2) -4(x-2)
(x-2)(3x-4)

x-2 =0
x = 2

3x-4 =0
3x=4
x= 3/4

(9x^2-4)

Use the identity a^2 -b^2
(3x)^2 -(2)^2
(3x+2)(3x-2)

3x+2 =0
3x =-2
x= -2/3

3x -2 =0
3x =2
x=2/3
