Answer:

3x^2 + 5x = 1300

x (3x +5) = 1300

3x + 5 = 1300/x

3x^2 = 1295

3x = √1295

3x= 35.986

x = 35.986/3

x = 11.953

{ \huge {\boxed {\boxed {\star\: \red{Answer}\: \star}}}}

By splitting middle term

 {3x}^{2}  + 5x - 1300 \\  \\  {3x}^{2}  + 65x - 60x - 1300 \\  \\  x(3x + 65) - 20(3x -65) \\  \\ (x - 20)(3x - 65) \\  \\ x = 20   \: and \: x =  \frac{65}{3}
