3x+2x+4=20-2x+5
5x+4=25-2x
5x+2x=25-4
7x=21
x=21/7
x=3

viru5: plz solve it in lhs and rga
viru5: rhs
Sanjana5428: this is in that method only

The answer comes out to be 3. X=3. Multiply the 2 on the left hand side , then you will get 3x + 2x +4 = 20-2x+5. by rearrangement we can obtain the value of x to be 3

Vishnurnair16: ok. Then you have to do the method given below
viru5: I don't understand
Vishnurnair16: 3X +2(X) +2(2) = 20- 2X - (-5X)
Vishnurnair16: 3X +2X +4 = 20- 2X +5X
Vishnurnair16: 5X +4 = 20 -2X +5
Vishnurnair16: It's not 5X on the rhs, but it is 5
Vishnurnair16: 5X + 2X = 20 + 5 - 4
Vishnurnair16: 7X = 25 - 4
Vishnurnair16: 7X = 21
Vishnurnair16: X = 21/7 = 3
