Answer:

3x + 2y =  - 1 \\ 5x + 6y = 5 \\   \\ from \: (1)we \: get \:  \\  \\ 2y =  - 1 - 3x \\  \\ y =  \frac{ - 1 - 3x}{2}  \\  \\ substitution \: y =  \frac{ - 1 - 3x}{2}  \: in \: (ii) \\  \\ 5x + 6( \frac{ - 1 - 3x}{2} ) = 5 \\  \\ 5x + 3( - 1 - 3x) = 5 \\  \\ 5x  - 3 - 9x = 5 \\  \\  - 4x = 8 \\ x =  - 2 \\  \\  \\ substituting \: x =  - 2 \:  \: in \: (1) \: \: we \: get \: 3x + 2y =  - 1 \\  \\ 3 \times  - 2 + 2y =  - 1 \\  \\  - 6 + 2y =  - 1 \\  \\ 2y =  - 5 \\  \\y =  \frac{ - 5}{2}
