multiply equation 1 by 3 and equation 2 by 2 and add both the equations

9x + 6y = 3

4x - 6y = 6

13x = 9

X = 9/13

putting the value of x in equation 1

3×9/13 + 2y = 1

27/13 + 2y = 1

2y = 1 - 27/13

2y = (13 - 27)/13

2y = -14/13

y = -14/13×2

y = -7/13
