2y = 5x - 1

5x - 2y - 1 = 0 ----------------eqn(2)

Subtracting both equations(elimination method)

3x - 2y + 1 = 0

5x - 2y - 1 = 0

-2x. + 2 = 0

-2x = -2

x = -2/-2

x = 1

put x = 1 in eqn(1)

3(1) - 2y + 1 = 0

3 - 2y + 1 = 0

-2y + 4 = 0

-2y = -4

y = -4/-2

y = 2
