Answer:

3x+2y = 12 ...(1)

5x-3y = 1 ....(2)

from equation (1)

3x = 12-2y

X= 12-2y/3 ......(3)

equation (3) put in equation (2)

5(12-2y/3) + 2y = 12

60-10y/3 + 2y = 12

60 - 10y + 2y = 36

-8y = 36-60

-8y = -24

y = -24/-8

y = 3 put in equation (3)

X = 12-2y / 3

X = 12-2×3/3

X= 12-6/3

X= 6/3

X=2

Step-by-step explanation:

ANSWER:-

What is the Substitution Method?

The process in which we find the answer of one variable with respect to other variables is called the substitution method. The Keyword is Substitute, which means the same.

Given Equations:-

  1. 3x+2y=12
  2. 5x-3y=1

3x = 12-2y

x = \dfrac{12-2y}{3}_______( Value 1)

Now, in equation 2,

5x-3y=1

5(\dfrac{12-2y}{3})-3y = 1

\dfrac{60-10y}{3}-3y=1

\dfrac{60-10y-9y}{3}=1

60-19y = 3

-19y = 3-60

19y = 57

y = 3 is one variable.

Now, x.

\dfrac{12-2(3)}{3}

\dfrac{12-6}{3}

\dfrac{6}{3} \implies 2

x = 2 is the other one.
