Answer:

Given,

xy=6 then,

x=6/y-----equation 1

now,

substitute x=6/y in 3x+2y=12 (by substitution method)

3(6/y)+2y=12

18/y+2y=12

18+2ysquare/y=12

18+2ysquare=12y

2ysquare-12y+18=0

(after taking 2 common)

ysquare-6y+9=0

ysquare-3y-3y+9=0

y(y-3)-3(y-3)=0

(y-3) (y-3)=p

y=3,3

substitute y=3 in equation 1

x=6/3

x=2

then, we should find x+1÷x

2+1÷2

3÷2

therefore the answer is 3/2
