  Answer:

{3x + 2y = 21

}→ equation 1

{5x - 3y = 16

}→ equation 2

first we have to eliminate any one of the variables, lets just eliminate y

we have to make the 2y and 3y in such a that they eliminate

to eliminate:

{3x + 2y = 21

}→ equation 1

multipy this equation with 3

{5x - 3y = 16

}→ equation 2

multiply this equation with 2

results: 9x+6y=63→ equation 3

           10x−6y=32→equation 4

using elimination method to solve

9x+6y=63(y can be eliminated)

10x−6y=32

——————

19x=95

x=95/19

therefore x =5

inseting in equation 2 to find y

5x - 3y = 16    equation 2

5(5)−3y=16

25−3y=16

−3y=16−25

−3y=−9

minuses get deducted

y=9/3

therefore y =3

x=5

y=3
