Answer:

X= 5 & y= 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply eq. 1st by 2 and multiply eq. 2 by 3 then,

2(3x - 2y = 3).........eq. 1

3(2x + y = 16)..........eq.2

Now,subtract eq. 1st from eq. 2nd then we get the result,

6x-4y - 6 =6x +3y - 48

6x-6x - 4y - 3y - 6 + 48

- 7y + 42 = 0

- 7y = - 42

y = 42 ÷ 7

y = 6

Now, put y = 6 in 2nd eq.

Then, 2x + y = 16

2x + 6 = 16

2x = 16 - 6

2x = 10

x = 10 ÷ 2

x = 5

Then we get the value of x =5 and y = 6

Answer:

3x-2y=3

=>3x=3+2y

=>x=3+2y/3

Again

2x+y=16

=>2(3+2y/3)+y=16

=>6+4y/3+y=16

=>6+4y+3y/3=16

=>6+7y=48

=>7y=42

=>y=6

so

x=3+2x6/3

=3+12/3

=15/3

=5
