Solution

 \tt \to \:  \dfrac{3x + 2y}{3x - 2y}  =  \dfrac{5}{3}

Using Cross multiplication method

 \tt \to \: 3(3x + 2y) = 5(3x - 2y)

 \tt \to9x + 6y = 15x - 10y

 \tt \to \: 9x - 15x =  - 10y - 6y

 \tt \to - 6x =  - 16y

 \to \tt  \dfrac{6x }{y}  = 16

 \tt \to \:  \dfrac{x}{y}  =  \dfrac{16}{6}  =  \dfrac{8}{3}

Hence

 \tt \to \:  \dfrac{x}{y}  =  \dfrac{8}{3}
