Explanation:

x = (5- 2y)/3 . . . . . . . . . (i)

6x-5y-1=0 . . . . . . . . . . . (ii)

SUBSTITUTE VALUE OF EQUATION (i) IN (ii)

6 (5- 2y)/3 - 5y = 1

2(5- 2y) - 5y =1

10 - 4y - 5y =1

-9y = -9

y= -9/-9

y = 1

now, substitute value of y in equation (i)

x= (5-2y)/3

x= (5- 2(1))/3

= (5 - 2)/3

= 3/3

x= 1
