a1+b1=c1⇒      3x+2y=5

a2+b2=c2⇒   2x+4y=12

x=Dx/D   and y=Dy/D

D=(a1*b2)-(b1*a2)=(3*4)-(2*2)=12-4=8

Dx=(c1*b2)-(b1*c2)=(5*4)-(12*2)=20-24=-4

Dy=(a1*c2)-(c1*a2)=(3*12)-(2*5)=36-10=26

x=Dx/D=-4/8=  -1/2

y=Dy/D=26/8=  13/4

so the solution is ( -1/2 , 13/4 )
