Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

(3x-2y,7)=(11,x+y)

To find :-

Solve the equation ?

Solution :-

Given that

(3x-2y,7)=(11,x+y)

On Comparing both sides then

=>3x -2y = 11 ---------(1)

=>x+y = 7----------(2)

=> x = (7-y) -------(3)

On Substituting the value of x in (1) then

=> 3(7-y)-2y = 11

=> 21-3y -2y = 11

=> 21-5y = 11

=> 21-11 = 5y

=> 10 = 5y

=> 5y = 10

=> y = 10/5

=> y = 2

On Substituting the value of y in (3) then

x = 7-2

=> x = 5

Therefore x = 5 and y = 2

Answer:-

The value of x = 5

The value of y = 2

The solution for the given problem is (5,2)

Check :-

(3x-2y,7)=(11,x+y)

If x = 5 and y = 2 then

(3×5-2×2),7 = (11,5+2)

=> (15-4,7) = (11,7)

=> (11,7) = (11,7)

LHS = RHS is true for x= 5 and y = 2

Used method:-

  • Substitution method
