3x - 2y = 9 ----(i)

2x - 3y = 2 ----(ii)

From (ii),

 \tt{x =  \frac{2 + 3y}{2} } \:   \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \rm  \cdots(a)

Putting equation (a) in equation (i), we get,

 \tt \to3 \bigg( \frac{2 + 3y}{2}  \bigg) - 2y = 9 \\  \\  \tt \to \frac{6 + 9y}{2}  - 2y = 9 \\  \\  \tt \to \frac{6 + 9y - 4y}{2}  = 9 \\  \\  \tt \to6 + 5y = 18 \\  \\  \tt \to5y = 18 - 6 \\  \\  \tt \to5y = 12 \\  \\  \tt \to \: y =  \frac{12}{5}

Now,

 \tt{x =  \frac{2 + 3y}{2} } \\  \\  \tt \to \: x =  \frac{2 + 3( \frac{12}{5}) }{2}  \\  \\  \tt \to \: x =  \frac{2 +  \frac{36}{5} }{2}  \\  \\  \tt \to \: x =  \frac{ \frac{10 + 36}{5} }{2}  \\  \\  \tt \to \: x =  \frac{46}{5 \times 2}  =  \frac{46}{10}  =  \frac{23}{5}

Thus,

  • Value of x = 23/5
  • Value of y = 12/5
