3x-4+2x=5 =3x+2x=4+5=5x=9. x=9/5

If they both are equal then we can easily find the value of x .

3x - 4 + 2x = 5
5x - 4 = 5
5x = 9
x = 9/5
Therefore if x value is 9/5 then the lhs ( left hand side ) and the RHS ( right hand side ) are equal.
