Solution :-

By substitution method,

3x + 4y = 10 & 2x − 2y = 2 ⇒ 2 (x − y)

= 2 ⇒ x − y = 1 ___ (2)

∴ x = y + 1 → (1).

Substituting in equation (2).

∴ 3x + 4y = 10⇒3 (y + 1) + 4y = 10

⇒ 3y + 3 + 4y = 10⇒7y = 7⇒y = 1

∴ x = 1 + 1 = 2

∴ x = 2 , y = 1

Hope you understand this concept mate :)

Answer:

Answer x value is 2 and y value is 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

SOLUTION

Given,

3x + 4y = 10

2x - 2y = 2

Linear equation made by elimination method.

Find,

the value of x and y.

So,

3x + 4y = 10 equation (1)

3x = 10 - 4y

x = 10 - 4y/3

Let the x be 10 - 4y/3

2x -2y =2. equation (2)

=> 2(10 - 4y/3) - 2y = 2

=> (20 - 8y/3) - 2y = 2

=> 20 - 8y - 6y = 6

=> 20 - 14y = 6

=> -14y = 6 - 20

=> -14y = -14

=> y = -14/-14

=> y = 1

2x - 2y = 2

=> 2x - 2 × 1 = 2

=> 2x - 2 = 2

=> 2x = 2 + 2

=> 2x = 4

=> x = 4/2

=> x = 2

Hence,

the value of x is 2 and y is 1.
