I'm doing elemination method

going to eliminate x

change symbols of 2nd EQUATIONS like this

3x + 4y = 10

-3x + 2y = -2

___________

6y = -8

y = -8 / 6

y = -4/3

____________

substitute the value of y in any equation to get x

3x + 4 × -4/3 = 10 -----> equation 1

3x + 4×3 - 4×1 / 3 = 10

3x + 12 - 4 / 3 = 10

3x + 8 / 3 = 10

3x + 8 = 10×3

3x + 8 = 30

3x = 30 - 8

3x = 22

x = 22 / 3
