Solution

Given :-

  • 3x + 4y = 11 _____(1)
  • 4x + 3y = 10_____(2)

Find :-

  • Value of x + y

Explanation

Multiply by 3 in equ(2) & 4 in equ(1)

  • 12x + 16y = 44
  • 12x + 9y = 30

__________________Sub, it's

➡ 16y - 9y = 44 - 30

➡7y = 14

➡y = 14/7

➡y = 2

Keep value of y in equ(1)

➡3x + 4*2 = 11

➡3x = 11 - 8

➡3x = 3

➡x = 3/3

➡x = 1

Hence

  • Value of x = 1
  • Value of y = 2

Now,Calculate value of (x+y)

  • (x+y) = (1+2) = 3

Answer:

3x+4y=11------(1)

4x+3y=10-----(2)

according to 1st equation

3x+4y=11

3x=11-4y

x= 11-4y/3

put the value of x in equation 2nd

4×(11-4y/3)+3y=10

(44-16y)/3+3y=10

(44-16y+9y)/3=10

44-7y=30

-7y=30-44

-7y= -14

y=2

put the value of y in equation 1st

3x+4×2=11

3x+8=11

3x=11-8

3x=3

x=1

Hence, x=1,y=2

now x+y=1+2

x+y=3 Answer.
