Hello there!

(3x - 4y = 11) * 5

And

(5x - 7y = -4) * 3

(We are multiplying here so that we can make the x terms equal and which can further gets cancelled out so as to find the value of y)

So now we have the two equations :

15x -20y = 55  -----(1)

15x - 21 y = -12 -----(2)

Subtract (2) from (1)

15x - 20y = 55

15x - 21 y = -12

------------------------------

          y = 67

Now substitute the value of y in either of the equations :

3x - 4 * 67= 11

3x -268 = 11

3x = 279

x = 93

Hope it helps .
