 Given \: Quadratic \: polynomial : \\( 3x - 4y )^{2} + 2( 3x - 4y ) - 35

 Let \: \pink {m = 3x - 4y } \: ---(1)

/* Rewriting the expression *)

 = m^{2} + 2m - 35

/* Splitting the middle term, we get */

 = m^{2} + 7m - 5m - 35 \\= m( m + 7 ) - 5( m + 7 )\\= ( m + 7 )( m - 5 ) \\= ( 3x - 4y + 7 )( 3x - 4y - 5 ) \: [ From \: (1) ]

Therefore.,

 \red { Factorisation \: of \: ( 3x - 4y )^{2} + 2( 3x - 4y ) - 35}

 \green { = ( 3x - 4y + 7 )( 3x - 4y - 5 ) }
