Substitution Method -:

3x + 4y = 5...Find the x value

3x = 5 - 4y

x = (5 - 4y)/3

2x + 3y = 3...Take x value in this eqn to get the value of y

2[(5 - 4y)/3] + 3y = 3

10/3 - 8y/3 + 3y = 3

(-8y + 9y)/3 = 3 - 10/3

y/3 = (9 - 10)/3

y = -1

2x + 3y = 3...Now find x value with the help of y value

2x + 3(-1) = 3

2x - 3 = 3

2x = 6

x = 3

The values of x and y are 3 and -1.
