3x+4y = 5 let it be the equation 1

5x-2y = -9 and this is equation 2

we multiply 5 with eq. 1 and multiply 3 with eq.2

5(3x+4y=5)

3(5x-2y=-9)

we get

15x+20y=25.....equation 3. (let)

15x-6y= -27......equation 4. (let)

by eliminating eq 3 and 4

we get

y=2

then put the value of y in any equation

and we get the value

x= -1
