Answer:

let 3x+4y=-5 be equation (i)

and -x+y=4 be equation (ii)

multiply equation (ii) with 3

it becomes -3x+3y=12 be equation (iii)

add equation (i) and equation (iii)

we get 7y=7

there fore y=1

substitute y=1 in equation (i)

x=-3
