The value of x and y by substitution Method.

\huge{\underline{\underline{\purple{♡Solution→}}}}

By polynomial (ii) -

x - y = -1

y = (x + 1)-------(iii)

\rule{200}{1}

Substitute the value of y into polynomial (i) -

=> 3x - 5y = -1

=> 3x - 5 × (x + 1) = - 1

=> 3x - 5x - 5 = -1

=> - 2x = -1 + 5

=> - 2x = 4

=> x = 4/(-2)

=> x = -2

\rule{200}{1}

Now substitute tha valu of x into polynomial (iii) -

=> y = x + 1

=> y = -2 + 1

=> y = -1

\rule{200}{1}

Thus , Tha values of x and y are -2 and -1

\rule{200}{1}

let x-y=-1 is eq (ii) x3

so 3x-5y= -1

- 3x- 3y= -3

____________

-2y= 2

y= -1

by eq (i)

putting the value y in eq (i)

3x-5y=-1

=. 3x+5*1=-1

=. 3x+5=-1

=. 3x=-6

=. X= -2

x=-2 and y= -1
