Lengths of opposite sides of a parallelogram are 3x-5 and 2x+3.

Since the opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal in length.

=>3x-5=2x+3

=>x=8

Hope it is helpful.

Given :-

  • ( 3x – 5 ) and ( 2x + 3 ) are the lengths of opposite sides of a parallelogram.

To Find :-

  • Value of x

Solution :-

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀⠀⠀⠀

❍ To calculate the value of x we must know that ::

  • Opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal in length.

Finding the value of x :-

  • As the opposite sides of parallelogram are equal we can form an equation :

⇝ ( 3x - 5 ) = ( 2x + 3 )

⇝ 3x - 5 = 2x + 3

⇝ 3x - 2x = 3 + 5

⇝ x = 3 + 5

⇝ x = 8

Finding the side :-

( 2x + 3 ) = 16 + 3 = 19

( 3x - 5 ) = 24 - 5 = 19

⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Henceforth, the value of x is 8.
