Given:-

To Find:-

• The value of x.

Solution:-

$3x + 5 = x+ 10$

Now, transposing x on left hand side and transposing +5 on the right hand side

$= > 3x - x = 10 - 5$

Now we use subtraction method on both sides

$= > 2x = 5$

dividing both sides by 2.

$= > \frac{2x}{2} = \frac{5}{2}$

$= > x = \frac{5}{2}$

∴The value of x is 5/2.
