Given :-

  • 3x - 5y + 1 = 0
  • 2x - y + 3 = 0

To Find :-

  • Value of x = ?
  • Value of y = ?

Answer :-

  • Value of x = -2
  • Value of y = -1

Explaination :-

Given equations are :-

→ 3x - 5y + 1 = 0 .....[Equation (ii)]

→ 2x - y + 3 = 0

→ 2x + 3 = y ......[Equation (ii)]

Now, Substituting equation (ii) in equation (i) we get :

→ 3x - 5(2x + 3) + 1 = 0

→ 3x - 10x - 15 + 1 = 0

→ - 7x - 14 = 0

→ 7x + 14 = 0

→ 7x = -14

→ x = -14 ÷ 7

x = -2

Now, Putting value of x = -2 in equation (i) we get :

→ 2x + 3 = y

→ 2(-2) + 3 = y

→ -4 + 3 = y

→ y = -1

Therefore,

  • Value of x = -2
  • Value of y = -1
