3x-5y=-1. (1)

x-y=-1. (2)

Now x= y-1

Now applying x in 1

=> 3(y-1)-5y=-1.

=3y-3-5y=-1.

=-2y=2.

Then y=2/-2 = -1.

Applying y in 2.

x-(-1)=-1

= x+1=-1

x=-1-1=-2.

Hence x=-2, y=-1.
