3x=4y
X=4y/3-------(2)
X-y=-1-------(3)
X+1=y, put the value of x in eq.3
4 y/3+1=y
4y+3=3y
Y=-3
Put the value of y in eq.2
X=4*-3/3
X=-12/3
X=-4

Substituting x=y-1 in 3x-5y=-y
3(y-1)-5y=-y
y=-3
