X = 8/23 & y = -3/23

Step-by-step explanation:

3x - 5y = 3

7x - 4y = 4

we will multiple equation 1 with 4 & multiple equation 2 with 5

that means,

12x - 20y = 12

35x - 20y = 20 ( change marks to + )

= -35x + 20y = -20

now substat equation 2 from 1

that means ,

-23x = -8

• X = 8/ 23 Ans 1

now put the value of X in equation 1

• 3(8/23 ) - 5y = 3

• 24/23 - 5y = 3

• 24 - 115y = 69

• -115y = 45

• y = -3/ 23 Ans 2
