3x - 7y + 10 = 0
3x - 7y = - 10--------------(1)
y - 2x - 3 = 0
-2x + y = 3----------------(2)
From eq'n (1)
3x - 7y = -10
=> 3x = -10 + 7y
=> x = - 10 + 7y/3---------------(3)
Substitute eq'n (3) in eq'n (2)
-2x + y = 3
=> -2 (- 10 + 7y)/3 + y = 3
=> 20 - 14y/3 + y = 3
=> 60 -14y + 3y = 9
=> 60 - 11y = 9
=> -11y = 9 - 60
=> -11y = -51
=> y = 51/11.
Putting the value of y in (3)
=> x = - 10 + 7y/3
=> x = -10 + 7 (51/11)/3
=> x = -10 + 357/11/3
=> x = -1110 + 357/11/3
=> x = 247 / 11 / 3
=> x = 3 × 247 / 11
=> x = 741 / 11.
Hence x= 741 /11 and y = 51 /11.
