3x +7y=10 and 2x+y=3 (elimination method) ​

Answer :-

3x-7y=-10......(1)

3x-7y=-10......(1)

-2x+y=3........(2)

eq (2) can be written as 2x-y=-3

multiply Eq (1) with 2

multiply Eq (2) with 3

then subtract eq( 1) and eq(2) after multiplication

resultant value

then we get -11y=-11

y=-11/-11

==> y=1

substitute y value in eq(1)

then ,

3x-7*1 = - 10

3x-7= -10

3x= -10+7

10+73x= -3

==> x=-1
