\huge\bold{Answer:-}

x = -7 , y = -3

\huge\bf{Given:-}

3x = 7y

12y = 5x -1

Now, comparing both the equations with standard form ax + by + c = 0, we get -

☯ 3x -7y = 0 ......(i)

☯ 5x -12y - 1 = 0 ..........(ii)

Taking -1 in left side of the eq. (ii) we get,

5x - 12y = 1

Now , Multilplying equation (i) by 5 and equation (ii) by 3 , we get-

⇒ 15x - 35y = 0 .....(iii)

⇒ 15 x - 36y = 3. .......(iv)

Now , Eliminating both eq (iii) and (iv) ,

⇒ 15x - 35y = 0

⇒ 15 x - 36y = 3.

...(-)........(+).......(-)......

y = -3

Putting the value of y in eq (i),

➡️ 3x - 7y = 0

➡️ 3x - 7 × ( -3) = 0

➡️ 3x + 21 = 0

➡️ 3x = -21

➡️ x =  \frac{-21}{3}

➡️ x = -7

so, The value of x is -7 and y is -3.
