Answer :

We have to,

  • {\sf{ { 3x}^{2} - 7x - 6}} ÷ x - 3

Solution :

  • If we factorise the above value that is {\sf{ { 3x}^{2} - 7x - 6}}
  • Then the solution becomes easy.

= {\sf{ { 3x}^{2} - 7x - 6}}

= {\sf{ { 3x}^{2} + 2x - 9x - 6}}

= x(3x + 2) -3 (3x + 2)

= (3x + 2) (x - 3)

  • Now, as we have the factors so divide it by x - 3

={ (3x + 2) (x - 3) } ÷ x - 3

= {\sf{\left(\dfrac{ (3x + 2) \cancel{(x - 3)}}{\cancel{x - 3}}\right)}}

= (3x + 2)

  • Thus , the required answer is (3x + 2) respectively.
