$3x {}^{2} - x - 4 = 0 \\ 3x {}^{2} - 4x + 3x - 4 = 0 \\ x(3x - 4) + 1(3x - 4) = 0 \\ (3x - 4)(x + 1) = 0 \\ x = 4 |3 \\ x = - 1$
