we have,

  • 3x + y - 1 = 0 ..........(i)
  • 2x = 11y + 3 ..........(ii)

from eq.(i)

3x + y - 1 = 0

➪ y = 1 - 3x .......(iii)

now, substitute the value of y from (iii) in (ii)

 \bold{: \implies2x = 11(1 - 3x) + 3 } \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 2x = 11 - 33x + 3 } \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{ : \implies 2x + 33x = 11 + 3 } \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 35x = 14} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies \:x =   \cancel\frac{14}{35}  } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies  \boxed{  \red{\bold{x =  \frac{2}{5} }}}} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

now, substitute the value of x in (iii)

 \bold{: \implies \: y = 1 - 3 \times  \frac{2}{5}  } \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies \: y = 1 -  \frac{6}{5} } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies \: y =  \frac{5 - 6}{5} }  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\ \bold{: \implies  \boxed{  \red{\bold{y =   - \frac{1}{5}  }}}}   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

hence, value of x is ⅖ and value of y is -⅕

Answer:

x=0.4

y= -0.2

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+y-1=0..........×-11

2x-11y-3=0…....×1

_______________

-33x-11y+11=0

2x-11y-3=0

(-). (+). (+)

_______________

-35x+14=0

x= -14/-35

x=0.4

3x+y-1=0

3(0.4)+y-1=0

1.2+y-1=0

y=1-1.2

y= -0.2
