Given ,

x = 2 and y = 4 (as we plot on a graph paper)

To Find -:

The value of a

Solution -:

Putting the values of x and y

3(2) + (4) = 2a

6 + 4 = 2a

10 = 2a

10 / 2 = a

5 = a

Therefore the value of a is 5

Question

3x+y=2a has a solution (2,4) find its value of a?

solution

let x be 2 and y be 4 then

by substitution of x and y in given equation

3(2) + 4 = 2a

3 x 2= 6 then

6 + 4 = 2a

10 = 2a

as we know 10 ÷ 2 = 5

so a = 5

so value of a = 5
