Answer:

x = 1 & y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: 3x-y = 2 ...(i)

x+2y = 3 ...(ii)

To Find: The value of x and y

Solution:

On multiplying 2 into (i),

6x-2y = 4 ...(iii)

On adding (ii) & (iii),

(x+2y)+(6x-2y) = 3+4

=> x+6x+2y-2y = 7

=> 7x = 7

=> x = 7/7

x = 1

On putting the value of x in (i),

3x-y = 2

=> 3×1-y = 2

=> y = 3-2

y = 1

Therefore, x = 1 & y = 1 ANS.
