 Given \: system \:of \: equations :

 3x + y = 3 \implies y = -3x + 3 \: --(1)

 i) If \: x = 0 \:then \: y = (-3)\times 0 + 3 = 3

 A (0,3)

 ii) If \: x = 1 \:then \: y = (-3)\times 1 + 3 = 0

 B (1,0)

 Joining \: points \: A \:and \: B \:we \:get \\a \: straight \: line

 ii) 4x - y = \frac{1}{2} \\\implies y = 4x - \frac{1}{2} \: --(2)

 iii) If \: x = 0 \:then \: y = 4\times 0 - \frac{1}{2}= -0.5

 C (0,-0.5)

 iv) If \: x = 1 \:then \: y = 4\times 1 - \frac{1}{2}= 3.5

 D (1,3.5)

 Joining \: points \: C \:and \: D \:we \:get \\a \: straight \: line

These two lines intersecting at P( 0.5, 1.5 )
