$3x + y = 3 \implies y = -3x + 3 \: --(1)$

$i) If \: x = 0 \:then \: y = (-3)\times 0 + 3 = 3$

$A (0,3)$

$ii) If \: x = 1 \:then \: y = (-3)\times 1 + 3 = 0$

$B (1,0)$

$Joining \: points \: A \:and \: B \:we \:get \\a \: straight \: line$

$ii) 4x - y = \frac{1}{2} \\\implies y = 4x - \frac{1}{2} \: --(2)$

$iii) If \: x = 0 \:then \: y = 4\times 0 - \frac{1}{2}= -0.5$

$C (0,-0.5)$

$iv) If \: x = 1 \:then \: y = 4\times 1 - \frac{1}{2}= 3.5$

$D (1,3.5)$

$Joining \: points \: C \:and \: D \:we \:get \\a \: straight \: line$

These two lines intersecting at P( 0.5, 1.5 )
