\underline{\bold{Answer:-}}

3x - y = 3 - - - (1) \\ \\ 7x + 2y = 20 - - - (2)

Multiplying eq'n ( 1 ) by 7 and eq'n ( 2 ) by 3, we get

21x - 7y = 21 \\ \\ 21x + 6y = 60 \\ ( - ).( - )....( - ) \\ - - - - - - - \\ \: \: \: \: - 13y = - 39 \\ \\ = > y = 3 \\ \\

From eq'n ( 1 )

3x - y = 3

=> 3x - ( 3 ) = 3

=> 3x - 3 = 3

=> 3x = 3 + 3

=> 3x = 6

=> x = 2

Hence the value of x = 2 and y = 3

\underline{\bold{Verification:-}}

Eq'n ( 1 )

3x - y = 3

=> 3( 2 ) - ( 3 ) = 3

=> 6 - 3 = 3

=> 3 = 3

LHS = RHS

Eq'n ( 2 )

7x + 2y = 20

=> 7( 2 ) + 2 ( 3 ) = 20

=> 14 + 6 = 20

=> 20 = 20

LHS = RHS

Hence, it is verified ✔ ✔

\textbf{Hope it helps!}
