Hey there !!

Elimination by substitution :-

9x-3y=9 -------> [ 1 ]

3x - y = 3 ------> [ 2 ]

3x = 3 + y

x = [3 + y]/ 3

Put this value in equation [1 ]

9 × { [3 + y]/ 3 } - 3y = 9

[27+9 y ] / 3 - 3y = 9

9 [ 3 + 1 y ] / 3 = 9

3 [ 3 + 1 y ] = 9

9 + 3y = 9

3y = 9 - 9

3y = 0

y = 0

x = y + 3 / 3

= 0 + 3 / 3

= 1

Hence ,

x = 1 , y = 0
