3x=y+5

x=(y+5)/3...(1)

x+y=11...(2)

Substituting the value of x in equation (2)

y+5/3 +y=11

(y+5+3y)=33

5+4y=33

4y=33-5

4y=28

y=28/4

y=7

Substituting y=7

x+7=11

x=11-7

x=4

The given systems of equations is

3x-y =5 .....(i)

x+y =11 ... .(ii)

From (ii), we get

y = 11-x

Substituting y=(11- x) in (i),we get

3x-(11-x) =5

3x-11 +x =5

4x -11 =5

4x = 5+11

4x =16

x =4

Substituting x=4 in (ii),we get

x+y = 11

4+y =11

y = 11-4

y = 7

Hence , the solution is x =4, y = 7.

Hope the answer helps you.
