3x-(y+7)/11+2=10,3x+14y=65

find the value of x/y

Solution :

solving 1 st

 \frac{3x - (y + 7)}{11 + 2}  = 10 \\  =  > 3x - y - 7 = 130 \\  =  > 3x - y - 137 = 0
Now, subtracting 1 from 2 ; we get.

=> -15y = 72

=> y = 72/15 = 24/5

putting the value of y in 2

3x - 14 (24/5 ) = 65

=> 3x = 65 + 336/5

=> 3x = 661/5

=> x = 44.06

Now, x/y = 44.06* 5/ 24 = 9.1
