3x+y=7 (multiplying by 2)

6x+2y=14..............(i)

2x-11y=3 (multiplying by 3)

6x-33y=9..........(ii)

solving equation 1 and 2

6x+2y=14

6x-33y=9

-. +. -

35y=5

y=1/7

substitute the value of y in equation 1 and you will get x =34/15
