3x² - 20x - 63
= 3x² - 27x + 7x - 63
= 3x (x-9) + 7 (x-9)
=(3x + 7)(x-9)

⇒x = -7/3
or x = 9

Phillipe: mark brainliest plz!!!
asaadfatam: I think wrong because I want 2number if we multiple will 189and if we do Addison will 20
Phillipe: so 27*7= 189 and -27+7=-20
Phillipe: it's correct
Phillipe: plz mark brainliest, plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
mysticd: to solve it (3x+7)(x-9) =0
mysticd: then 3x+7 =0 or x-9 =0
mysticd: therefore x= -7/4 or x=9
mysticd: sorry x= -7/3 or x=9
mysticd: do the corrections

3x^2-20x-63

=3x^2-27x+7x-63

=3x(x-9)+7(x-9)

=(x-9)(3x+7) [taking (x-9) common]

Now we can say,
(x-9)(3x+7)=0

(x-9)=0

or,(3x+7)=0

the answer should be

x=9

or,x=-7/3

Anonymous: But its how my textbook did it.
mysticd: onle expression is given
Anonymous: Is it right now?
mysticd: we changed expression in to factors
Anonymous: I have corrected it.Is it right?
mysticd: if we solve it we must write equal to zero
Anonymous: Thanks I understand.
mysticd: u include this to solve the above
mysticd: nice
