Answer:

x = -√2+1/3 or x=√2+1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

3x^2+2x+1=0

multiply equation by 3

x^2 + 2x/3 +1/3 =0...........(1)

comparing eqn x^2 +2x/3 +k with x^2 +2ax +a^2.........( k = constant)

x^2 +2x/3 + k = x^2 +2ax +a^2

2x/3 = 2ax k = a^2

2/6 = a k = 1/9

a = 1/3

puting the value of k in eqn 1

x^2 + 2x/3 +1/9-1/9+1/3=0

( x+1/3)^2 - ( 1-3/9 ) =0

( x -1/3)^2 - ( -√2/3 ) ^2 =0

x-1/3+√2/3 =0 or x -1/3 -√2/3 =0..........{a^2-b^2 = (a+b) ( a-b) }

x = - √2+1/3 or x = √2+1/3
